How It Works

The ST Landscape Design Process

Thinking About a New Garden

It starts with an idea. A space that isn’t working or a garden you want to enjoy more. Whether you know what you want or have no idea where to begin, now is the time to explore it.

Get in Touch

Call or email to arrange a free design consultation. We will have a quick chat to see if I am the right fit and book a site visit that works for you.

Two people sitting at a white table, each holding a mug. One person has a gray mug with a dark beverage, and the other has a white mug with a dark beverage. The scene appears to be in a cozy, indoor setting near a window.

Walk Your Space

We will walk the garden together. I will ask questions, take notes and start shaping a plan. This is about understanding how you want to use the space and what is possible.

First Concepts

I will go away and do the groundwork. You will get a clear layout drawing, a moodboard and a design direction to show what is achievable and how the space will come together.

A well-maintained backyard with a lush green lawn, flower beds with purple and white flowers, a wooden fence, and a small tree on the right side. There is a paved walkway with a wooden railing on the left, and a row of tall, narrow trees in the distance

Refine the Design

We will review the concept and adjust it until it is right. I will take on board your feedback and make sure it works for your lifestyle, tastes and budget

Final Plans Delivered

Once the concept is locked in, I will produce your final package. This could include planting plans, 3D visuals, lighting layouts, build drawings and anything else agreed. Ready for pricing or to hand straight to a contractor.
